Long View Gallery Wedding

Jamie and Jeff’s Long View Gallery wedding was a bespoke, stylish day perfectly representing them as individuals and as a couple. They met through a styled photoshoot, she was an event planner and he was the videographer. They have been together for almost five years, known each other since 2017. Jeff proposed the same way Jamie asked him to be her boyfriend. He proposed with a Post-It on Jamie’s vanity mirror, surprising her in their bedroom. Jamie described their wedding style as whimsical, dreamy Japanese garden, lush green moss with pops of pastels for spring, two artists getting married surrounded by art and sculpture. When it came to their wedding day, making sure they truly enjoyed and remembered the day was most important to them.

For the ceremony, their officiant and friend tailored the entire ceremony, especially the Filipino wedding traditions, to their love story. Instead of bouquets, Jamie wanted her bridal party to have unique floral adornments (necklace, earrings, bracelets, hair clips, etc.). She also had a bridesman! Custom cocktails themed representing the couple and their dog Leeloo were made by Jamie’s brother-in-law. Her sister made ube cheesecakes for dessert and they also had custom made Filipino garments from the Philippines. They incorporated video clips of their past collaborative projects and significant moments.

Their venue was such an interesting choice and perfectly represented Jamie and Jeff as a couple. They knew they wanted to get married in an art gallery, a space where art is revered and adored, since they met making art. Their friendship and relationship blossomed through doing photo and video shoots together. They chose Long View Gallery because they loved the ambiance, the art displayed, and it was a venue that could fit their guest count. They described their Long View Gallery wedding as “an epic dance party in a Japanese garden art gallery with delicious cocktails” and we agree! It was such a fun wedding and wish these two all the love and happiness in the world!

This is what Jamie said about choosing H&L:

I was able to witness how H&L, specifically Christina, worked my best friend’s wedding (Celina) when I was her MOH. I admired her approach and attitude and knew we should have H&L for our wedding day!
