For the third year in a row, the Honey & Lavender Events team had the pleasure of supporting Appleseed Network’s annual fundraiser. Returning to an event year after year is always special, but it is especially meaningful when we get to work alongside a team so dedicated to creating lasting change.
Appleseed Network brings together 20 justice centers across the United States and Mexico to reduce poverty, combat discrimination, and invigorate democracy. Through research, organizing, policy advocacy, and impact litigation, the network works to develop systemic solutions to some of the most pressing challenges facing communities today.
The annual fundraiser brought together supporters, partners, and members of the Appleseed community to celebrate that work and invest in the mission ahead. We were thrilled to see the community come together in support of Appleseed—and even more excited that the event exceeded its fundraising goal!
This year’s gathering also marked an exciting moment for the organization with the announcement of its new Executive Director, Wendy Patten. It was a pleasure to meet Wendy and celebrate this new chapter for Appleseed Network.
Our team worked behind the scenes to help bring the event together, from setting up welcome signage and awards to organizing name tags and managing guest check-in. Having a dedicated team at check-in helped create a warm welcome for guests and kept the evening moving smoothly.
One of our favorite parts of returning to this event is the opportunity to work with Appleseed’s wonderful team. Quentin and Sarah are always a joy to collaborate with, and we loved working with Judy, the interim Executive Director, throughout the planning process. Their care and commitment to the event—and to Appleseed’s mission—make this partnership so rewarding.
We are also grateful to the vendors who helped bring the celebration to life, including Romenta Plants, Madison McCart, and Adam Flugler. Events like this are made possible by the many people who contribute their time and talents.
